  • 5-minute walk (0.2 miles) from the City Centre Harbourside. It is also a 15-minute walk (0.8 miles) from Bristol Temple Meads railway station, or there are regular buses and taxis from outside the station. There is also a ferry which runs from the railway station into the City Centre. Bristol Bus Station is a 15-minute walk (0.7 miles) away. From Bristol Airport, it's 40 minutes by bus or 25 minutes by taxi to the City Centre. The Bristol Airport Guide has plenty of transport information.

  • The main entrance is at street level of King Street and fully wheelchair accessible with automatic doors to facilitate comfortable access. Foyer, 1766 Bar & Kitchen and Box Office are all fully wheelchair accessible. Foyer lift enables customers full access to all public areas of our building.

    Accessible toilets on Levels -1, 0 and 1, accessible via the foyer lift.

    Toilets on Level -1 are all now gender-neutral. Customers are welcome to use whichever washroom they prefer, regardless of gender identity. If you prefer to use gendered toilets, you can do so in the washrooms that bear gendered symbols only (found on Level 1).

  • Car parking facilities n the surrounding area including the NCP on Queen Charlotte Street which is a 2-minute walk (0.1 miles) and Trenchard Street car park, a 10-minute walk across the city centre (0.4 miles). Meter parking is also available on King Street and Queen Square. Please note that King Street is cobbled. There is one disabled space right outside the theatre. Blue Badge Holders park for free.

  • There are toilets for shoppers in Cabot Circus and The Galleries, including disabled toilets in The Galleries, where a radar key will be needed for access. If you require assistance, please phone 0117 9290569.

  • The Galleries

    A safe and secure car park with convenient access to The Galleries shopping centre with 1000 parking spaces. The main entrance is via Newgate and Fairfax St. Family First spaces can be found on Level C and Disabled spaces are on Level D.

    Cabot Circus

    The car park has over 2,500 car parking spaces available for customers, 24 hours 7 days a week. Parent and child parking spaces can be found on the ground, second, third and fourth floors. Disabled parking can be found on the ground and third floors. There are 12 charging points for electric cars situated on the ground floor.

    Park for just £3 when you enter after 5pm and leave before 7am (plus £3 evening rate).

  • The Mount Without is a 5 minute walk from The Centre bus stop.

  • There is a natural pull in from the parking space on St Michaels Hill opposite the Colston Arms pub. From here is a ramp that leads up to the church. This venue has wheelchair access to The Crypt and Main Hall.

  • There are two nearby multi-storey car parks; Trenchard Street Car Park and Rupert Street NCP Car Park, both 5 mins walking distance.

    Alternatively, there is pay and display parking available in the surrounding area or approx 6 spaces that are free after 6pm, on a single yellow line opposite the Mount Without on St Michael's Hill.

  • By Foot

    We’re located on the harbourside, a five to 10 minute walk from the city centre or a 20 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads train station.

    By Bike

    There is a dedicated cycle track to the south/back of M Shed. There is no cyclist access on the dockside at the front of the museum. There are several bicycle stands on Museum Street, outside the south/back entrance of the building. There’s a tyre pump at the end of M Shed on Wapping Road.

    By Car

    We’re located on the harbourside in the city centre on Wapping Road (BS1 4RN) around two miles from the M32 motorway.

    By Bus

    You can catch any bus with a city centre drop off – you’ll be dropped off at Broad Quay which is about a five minute walk away.

    The M2 Metrobus service is currently diverted via Coronation Road, serving stops across the river.

    • A level entrance to all entrances to the museum and cafe.

    • There are five designated accessible parking spaces at The Grove Car Park and three next to Brunel’s Buttery on the harbour.

    • There is a road at the rear of M Shed for drop off and pick up (Museum Street).

    • There is accessible car parking at Wapping Wharf behind M Shed

    • A reception desk with a section at wheelchair-user height and induction loop

    • Two adult-sized wheelchairs for loan

    • Folding stools if you need a portable seat

    • Level access to all galleries

    • Staff on all floors

    • Three wheelchair accessible lifts with spoken announcements and tactile buttons (two are fire evacuation lifts)

    • Accessible toilets on all floors (some with right hand and some with left hand transfer)

    • A free standing adult changing bench with a free standing hoist, located in the ground floor accessible toilet

    • Assistance dogs welcome

  • There are two car parks nearby at The Grove (BS1 4RB) and Wapping Wharf (BS1 4RH). There are five disabled spaces at The Grove and three next to Brunel’s Buttery. There are four accessible spaces in the Wapping Wharf car park.

  • Nightingale Valley will take about three-quarters of an hour to walk around in a circular route.

    The entrance to the park is a 1 minute walk from Sherwell Road bus stop.

  • Nightingale Valley is a hidden gem in Brislington and is largely not known. It has a mixture of terrains – small fields, woodland and steep valley slopes with the Brislington Brook running through.

    Accessed from an entrance on Hill Lawn (there are also a few other places to access the woodland from nearby roads). This walk follows the Brislington Brook through the picturesque woodland valley. There are plenty of swimming opportunities for pups who want to get their feet wet!

    Nightingale Valley is very close to St Anne’s Park and St Anne’s Wood, so it’s easier to extend your walk.

  • Access for our event is only available via the entrance on The Horsefair side (opposite Primark.). Outside this entrance there are buses that link to all over Bristol

    Sparks is a 20 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads

  • Access for our event is only available via the entrance on The Horsefair side (opposite Primark.) The ground floor of the building is fully accessible. The first and second floors are accessible via a lift. There is an accessible toilet on the second floor of the building.

  • Unfortunately we don’t have public bike parking facilities inside Sparks. However, there are many cycle racks in the Broadmead area surrounding Sparks.

    The nearest carpark is Cabot Circus.

Tobacco Factory Theatre

  • By Bike

    The theatre is very accessible by bike from all areas of Bristol and there are bike racks inside and on the wall of the Tobacco Factory and on the corner of Raleigh Road and North Street.

    On Foot / By Train

    We are just a 20 minute walk from the Centre (Arnolfini/MShed area) and a 40 minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads and a 20 minute walk from Bedminster train station. Parson Street train station is a 15 minute walk.

    By Bus

    Bus number 24 from North Bristol, Broadmead, the City Centre and Redcliffe Hill stops outside the Tobacco Factory.

    The new M2 Metrobus route has stops nearby at Ashton Gate and the SS Great Britain.

  • The entrance to Tobacco Factory Theatres is on the Raleigh Road side of the Tobacco Factory building and the Box Office is situated just inside the entrance on the ground floor. There is a ramp up into the building and a lift up to the Factory Theatre, Spielman Theatre and Theatre Bar on the first floor.

    Tobacco Factory Theatres is fully wheelchair accessible and welcomes guide dogs. Both the Factory Theatre and Spielman Theatre have tiered seating with only a certain number of seats on floor level. The Factory Theatre auditorium has an induction loop system. There is an accessible toilet on the same floor as both theatres.

  • Parking is available in the local area surrounding the theatre but please be aware of restrictions. If you would like further information please call our Box Office on 0117 902 0344. Please also be aware that we are located close to Ashton Gate stadium and parking can therefore be difficult on match days.

  • Trinity Centre is a 15min walk from City Centre and a 10min walk from Cabot Circus. The nearest bus stop is West Street.

  • The venue is accessible, with lift access to the first floor and accessible toilets located on both floors. The front of the venue (our events entrance) and our daytime reception have level paved access.

  • There are four designated accessible parking bays in our 24hr Pay & Display car park, located by the daytime reception - left side of building. All visitors are required to Pay & Display, including Blue Badge Holders

  • By Bike / Walking

    The Bristol to Bath cycle path brings you into Old Market, from where you can join a close by connecting cycle path that leads right onto Princess Street, next to the unit.

    If you are coming from the centre, follow signs to Temple Meads.

    If you are coming from Temple Meads itself, there is a direct route over the river behind the station, along the same connecting cycle path that leads you here (see the green line on the Google Map). There are spaces to lock up your bike in our secure yard.

    By Train

    We are only a 900 yard, flat walk away from Bristol Temple Meads Train Station.

    By Coach

    Unit 15 is approximately a 1.2 mile walk from Bristol bus & coach station or a 10 minute taxi ride.

    By Car

    Take the A4044 into Bristol or the A420, follow signs to St Phillips/Old Market/The Centre.

  • Unit 15 is accessible for wheelchair users, using the vehicle gate entrance into the yard. The venue is on ground floor level.

    There will be an accessible toilet available for this event outside the venue.

  • There is some free on-street parking, but no parking on site.

  • The nearest bus stops to Watershed are on 'The Centre', no more than a 2 minute walk away. Plan your journey by bus at travelwest.info

  • All three cinemas have induction loops as do our Waterside 2 and Waterside 3 event spaces.

    There are two accessible toilets (with baby changing facilities). One in the top foyer, beside our new toilets, or follow the signs for the Cinemas for the second accessible toilet on your left through the double doors before Cinema 1.

    Our new toilets in the top foyer are for everyone - some of the fully enclosed cubicles have a sink and mirror in them, some are ambulant (a bit more spacious with supports such as grab rails) and there is also a large family room with plenty of room for a buggy. Just through the Café & Bar we still have separate male and female toilets.

  • The closest car parks are Millennium Square Car Park and Trenchard Street NCP parking. There are two Blue Badge parking spaces to the rear of Watershed on Canons Road.
