Ready to make a difference? Volunteer for Mayfest 2024

Mayfest 2024 is just around the corner, and we want you to be a part of it. We’re on the lookout for volunteers to join the team and help spread joy throughout Bristol.

Mayfest is Bristol’s biennial international festival of contemporary theatre and live performance, running from May 17–26 May and presenting a programme of performances, events, and parties in some of Bristol’s best-loved venues, as well as in unexpected sites and locations throughout the city. 

We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic volunteers to do pre-event, front of house and show-stewarding shifts. Training will be provided for each position and you will be supported by Mayfest's experienced team. Each volunteering shift will last between 3 and 4 hours.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a Mayfest veteran or have never attended before, or if you can commit to several nights a week or only a few for the duration of Mayfest - the only prerequisite is a willingness to get involved. If you are interested, then we want to hear from you.

In return for your time, we will strive to offer you a worthwhile and rewarding experience: you will receive a free ticket for a show of your choosing that we can book in advance and you are welcome to come on standby to any of our Mayfest shows. You will also have access to refreshments throughout any shifts worked, you’ll be invited along to a volunteer get-together at Mayfest HQ ahead of the festival, and our post-festival ‘wrap party’.
